Seeds for the Future is Huawei global CSR flagship program initiated by Huawei in 2008, the program seeks to develop local ICT talent, enhance knowledge transfer, promote a greater understanding of and interest in the telecommunications sector, and improve and encourage regional building and participation in the digital community.

Wanafunzi 10 toka vyuo vya Tanzania wakiendelea na masomo ya ICT nchini china katika makao makuu ya Huawei
Kampuni ya Huawei inayoongoza kwenye utoaji wa huduma ya Teknolojia ya Habari na Mawasiliano (TEHAMA) ulimwenguni, leo imezindua programu ya elimu inayoitwa Seeds for the Future hapa nchini Tanzania.
Programu ya ‘Seeds for the Future’ inatoa nafasi 10 kwa wanafunzi wa hapa nchini kutoka vyuo vikuu kwenda kujifunza na kufanya kazi na Kampuni ya Huawei yenye makao makuu yake Shenzhen, China.
Mradi huo umelenga kuwa kusaidia kile kinachofundishwa shuleni kukidhi mahitaji halisi ya soko la ajira kwa vijana hapa nchini ikiwa ni pamoja na kupanua uelewa wa TEHAMA na kuhamasisha ushiriki katika sekta hii ili kuendana na jamii ya sasa teknolojia ya habari na mawasilino.
Akizunguma wakati wa sherehe ya kuwaaga wanafunzi waliochaguliwa kusoma China, Mkurugenzi Mtendaji wa Kampuni ya Huawei Technologies Tanzania, Bruce Zhang alisema ni wazi kwamba wanafunzi hawa watapewa kipaumbele kwenye fursa za kujifunza kupitia kujumuika na wafanyakazi wa Huawei na kutembelea maabara ya kampuni hiyo ambako wataweza kuona na kufanya majaribio ya teknolojia ya hali ya juu ya mawasiliano.

Huawi starts 'Seeds for the Future' program in Tanzania
Ten students from Tanzanian universities will be going to China to work out of the Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen. The students have been picked under the ‘Seeds for the Future program’ which is an initiative of Huawei.
Huawei is a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company The programme is designed to help bridge the gap between school and work.
Seeds for the Future and e-Education project will help develop Information and Communication Technology (ICT) talent in Tanzania. It will promote a greater understanding of the telecommunications sector and encourage participation in the international ICT community.
Speaking during the farewell ceremony, the Managing Director for Huawei Technologies Tanzania, Mr Bruce Zhang said that students participating in ‘Seeds of the Future’ will be given first-hand learning opportunities through interactions with Huawei staff and visits to Huawei laboratories where they will witness live demonstrations of advanced communications technologies.
He said they will also gain an understanding of the latest skills needed to be successful in ICT, while learning how to be effective in a multicultural business environment.
The programme is conducted through partnerships with University of Dar es Salaam and the State University of Zanzibar.
